On March 18, 2023, Claudarius Ceasar, an 18-year-old African American male from Albany, Georgia, was fatally shot outside his residence on Whiting Drive. According to reports, Claudarius stepped outside to smoke when a gunshot was heard. He was found with a gunshot wound to the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
