In the early hours of a late November morning in Albany, Georgia, the life of 18-year-old Malik Rahsean Parks, an African American male, was tragically cut short. On November 27, 2020, Parks and another young man, 18-year-old Jakendric Chapman, were found deceased on Aztec Lane in what was determined to be a double homicide. The Albany Police Department’s Robbery/Homicide Unit promptly began an investigation into the deaths of the two teenagers.
