On December 29, 2012, 27-year-old Gerald W. Bonner was found deceased near a dumpster in the 400 block of East Philip Street in Des Moines, Iowa. His body was discovered by two children, leading to a police investigation that determined he had died from a single gunshot wound.

Following the discovery, Des Moines police arrested 27-year-old John Edwards in connection with Bonner's death. Edwards was charged with first-degree murder, robbery, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. ...Read More
