In the small community of Quitman, Georgia, a family dispute turned deadly, leaving one man dead and his nephew facing a litany of serious charges. Jed Maichele, a 56-year-old male, was shot and killed on the evening of Wednesday, March 13, 2024. The tragic events unfolded in the 1800 block of Blair Road, where law enforcement would later find Maichele suffering from gunshot wounds.
