In the late hours of a Monday in Macon, Georgia, a tragedy unfolded that would cut short the life of 57-year-old Randall Perchelli. On April 8, 2024, Perchelli was the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred during an armed robbery at a business located on Eisenhower Parkway. The initial reports painted a grim picture, with law enforcement and emergency services responding to a call of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Perchelli suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Randall Perchelli succumbed to his injuries, and a homicide investigation was launched into his untimely death.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office quickly began an intensive investigation to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for this violent act. Their efforts led to the identification of two suspects in connection with the armed robbery and shooting. Within a short period, investigators were able to locate and take into custody 23-year-old Zachery Williams and 31-year-old Myrickes Williams. The two men were initially charged in connection with the armed robbery and the shooting.
Following Randall Perchelli's death, the charges against both Zachery and Myrickes Williams were upgraded to include murder. The two suspects are now facing the grave accusation of having caused the death of another human being during the commission of a felony. The investigation continued to be active and ongoing as authorities worked to piece together the events of that fatal night. Both men were being held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center as they awaited further legal proceedings in a case that had tragically and unnecessarily ended the life of a member of the Macon community.
