On April 12, 2024, at approximately 7:40 a.m., officers from the DeKalb County Police Department responded to a call regarding a person shot at a residence on North Indian Creek Drive in Clarkston, Georgia. Upon arrival, they discovered Charles Preston suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head.
