On June 17, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Clarkston police officers responded to a call at the Springdale Glen Apartments on Brockett Road in Clarkston, Georgia. Upon arrival, they found 17-year-old Messiah "Siah" Battle lying on the outside stairwell with several gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate medical attention, Battle succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
