Rashard Grier, 30, a Black male, was shot on the night of Saturday, September 13, 2025, near a pocket park and walking trail off Church Street in Clarkston, Georgia. Police believe the gunfire erupted around 9:50–9:51 p.m. Saturday. He was discovered the next morning with multiple gunshot wounds, including to his face and abdomen, at or near 3677 Church Street by the Trailside Green installation, a popular cut-through between Mell Avenue and Church Street.
