On May 31, 2024, 17-year-old Malik Dieonte Heard was found fatally shot in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. Responding to a call around 6 p.m., officers discovered Malik near 375 Boulevard NE, close to Wabash Avenue. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, with no suspects identified at this time.
