Rickie Burke, a 28-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 22, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. outside a Checkers Drive-In restaurant near Greenbriar Mall. Rickie Burke and another man, Ahmad Johnson, were shot and killed in a violent altercation that also left others injured. Witnesses reported hearing as many as 30 shots fired during the incident.
