Jeremy Howard, 31, a Black male from Athens, was shot on June 12, 2024, at a home in the 100 block of Nowhere Road in Athens-Clarke County. Police responding to the scene found him wounded and tried life-saving measures before EMS took him to a local hospital, where he died. The killing unfolded in the early hours of the morning and quickly turned from an emergency call into a criminal investigation centered on the woman at the house, Heather McCall.
