Michael Scott, a 15-year-old Black male from Columbus, Georgia, was killed on June 17, 2024, after gunfire erupted at the Elizabeth Canty Homes on 20th Avenue. According to local reporting and statements attributed to investigators and the coroner, officers were dispatched around 6:13 p.m. to the 200 block of 20th Avenue, where they found Michael wounded by a gunshot.
