In the fall of 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace at a Columbus, Georgia apartment complex, leaving a young man dead and three others wounded. The deceased was identified as 29-year-old Robert B. Lewis Jr. The shooting occurred on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at an apartment building located on Fort Benning Road.
