Johnny Hawkins, a 25-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 25, 2019, in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred in the area of Thornton Drive and Kendrick Avenue, where Columbus Police Department (CPD) officers responded to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they found Johnny Hawkins and another individual, Jarvis Devontae Moore, 24, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, Johnny Hawkins succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
