On August 12, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in DeKalb County, Georgia, resulting in the deaths of two brothers, Broderick Shovely, 21, and Santino Shovely, 17. The shooting took place in the basement of a home located in the 3900 block of Emerald Lake Drive, a neighborhood off Snapfinger Road and near Canby Lane Elementary School in Decatur, Georgia.
