Kirwin Hinds, 47, male, was shot during a confrontation on July 19, 2025, at the Haven on Peachwood Apartments in the 2300 block of Peachwood Circle in northeast DeKalb County, just south of Chamblee. Officers responding around 7 a.m. found him with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead soon after.
