Mallory Lyric Warden, a 19-year-old from Jasper, Georgia, died on September 18, 2024, due to a gunshot wound. The incident occurred on Talona Road in Gilmer County, although Warden was found in her vehicle with the gunshot wound at the 200 block of South Main Street in Ellijay. She was transported to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
