Jalisa Abney, a 35-year-old Black female, passed away on May 2, 2024, after being shot the previous day at her business in Conley, Georgia. A resident of Stone Mountain, Abney was a driven entrepreneur and a U.S. Army veteran. The incident that led to her death occurred shortly before noon on May 1, 2024, at a truck lot on Moreland Avenue where she operated her businesses.
