In the early morning hours of Monday, September 30, 2024, the life of 31-year-old Chravis N. Shaw was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in East Point, a city in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The incident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. at a residence on the 5600 block of Laurel Ridge Drive, a residential street located just off of Interstate 285. Responding to reports of several rounds of gunfire, police officers arrived at the scene to find Shaw suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have determined that another man was present with Shaw at the time of the shooting and are actively seeking to identify this individual. While authorities have not released a detailed description of the potential suspect or a possible motive for the shooting, they are urging the public to come forward with any information that may lead to an arrest and indictment in the case.
