On November 14, 2024, a deadly shooting occurred at the Oak Pointe Apartments located on the 700 block of East Chapman Street in Augusta, Georgia. The victim, identified as Zaytreonta Boyd, a 27-year-old resident of Augusta, was shot at least once and pronounced dead at the scene by Richmond County deputies who responded to the incident around 7:30 p.m..
