Alphonso Hornsby, a 15-year-old African American boy, was tragically killed on June 4, 2018, in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred on the 3600 block of Rolling Meadows Drive, where Alphonso was shot multiple times. According to the Richmond County Coroner, Alphonso was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:20 p.m. The autopsy revealed that he had consumed alcohol and marijuana, and had other drugs in his system at the time of his death.
