In the spring of 2022, the life of 21-year-old JaJuan Marcell Russell was tragically cut short by gun violence in Augusta, Georgia. On the evening of Sunday, April 17, 2022, law enforcement responded to a call and discovered two men in the road with gunshot wounds. Both men were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

One of the victims, identified as JaJuan Russell, succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The second man, Gene Williams Jr., was also wounded in the shooting. The ...
