JaJuan Russell, a 21-year-old African American male from Augusta, GA, was fatally shot on April 17, 2022. The incident occurred on the 3700 block of Oslo Road, a neighborhood located east of Butler Creek and south of Old McDuffie Road. Emergency services transported Russell to Augusta University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:14 a.m. His death marked the ninth homicide in Richmond County for the year and the second in April.
