Erik Alexander Meza Chairez, a 29-year-old resident of Salinas, California, tragically lost his life on August 13, 2022. He was found with a gunshot wound at a homeless encampment near East Laurel Drive and Carr Lake. Despite the efforts of responding officers, Erik succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
