Investigator Larry Douglas Stevens Sr., a 38-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on January 24, 1979, in Augusta, Georgia. He was a dedicated member of the Richmond County Sheriff's Office. On that fateful day, Investigator Stevens was performing his duties when he pulled over a suspect wanted for questioning in connection with a burglary.
