Michael Alonzo Cooper, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 31, 2017, in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred in the final hours of New Year's Eve, marking the 26th homicide in Richmond County for that year. Cooper was fatally shot at the Sierra Point Apartments.
