Murdered

On February 10, 2023, a homicide occurred in Southeast Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of Melvin Henderson, a 27-year-old resident of the area.

The incident took place at approximately 5:50 PM in the 1900 block of 18th Street, SE, near the Anacostia Neighborhood Library. Police responded to reports of gunshot sounds and found Henderson, who had been shot multiple times. Despite immediate response, Henderson died at the scene.
