In the early evening of Wednesday, April 12, 2023, tragedy struck inside a McDonald's in Northeast Washington, D.C., ending the life of 19-year-old Andre Wallace, Jr. The incident unfolded in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast, a little after 6:00 PM. Wallace, a resident of Northeast, D.C., was inside the fast-food establishment when he was fatally shot by an unknown assailant.
