In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Northeast Washington, D.C., violence shattered the quiet of the 1700 block of North Capitol Street. On July 11, 2023, at approximately 10:41 p.m., officers from the Fifth District responded to a report of a man down. Upon their arrival, they discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
