Elias Key

Murdered

On July 11, 2023, a homicide occurred in the 1700 block of North Capitol Street, Northeast, Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 55-year-old Elias Key.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the incident took place at approximately 10:41 PM. Officers responded to the location after receiving a report of a man down and found Elias Key, who had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on July 12, 2023.
