In the early hours of an August morning in Washington, D.C., the life of 31-year-old Trevon Tillman was tragically cut short. On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at approximately 1:54 a.m., officers from the Sixth District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 3500 block of Jay Street, Northeast. Upon their arrival, they discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene, but after assessing
the victim, they found no signs of life. The man, later identified as Trevon Tillman, of no fixed address, was pronounced dead at the location. His body was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The case is being investigated as a homicide by the department's Homicide Branch.
