On April 10, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in the Carver-Langston neighborhood of Northeast Washington D.C., resulting in the death of 29-year-old Aubrey McLeod. The shooting took place at approximately 6:08 p.m. in the 1100 block of 21st Street NE.
