On August 5, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in the 1200 block of U Street, Northwest, Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 19-year-old Andre Baker from Southeast, D.C.

The events unfolded early in the morning when Baker and two of his friends were hanging out in front of a bus stop on U Street after a night out.
