In the waning days of 2023, a beloved family man from Washington, D.C., became another victim of gun violence in the city. On the evening of December 20th, at approximately 8:55 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2900 block of Knox Place in Southeast D.C. Upon arrival, they discovered 39-year-old Dwayne Barbour Sr., a male, suffering from critical gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment.
