On a late summer evening in Washington, D.C., the life of Brian Andre Proctor, a 41-year-old Black man from Forestville, Maryland, was tragically cut short. On Friday, September 21, 2012, at approximately 9:21 p.m., officers from the Sixth District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 300 block of 37th Street, SE. Upon arrival, they discovered Proctor suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
