In the early morning hours of February 23, 2024, the sound of gunshots shattered the pre-dawn quiet in the 6200 block of Dix Street NE in Washington, D.C. When Sixth District officers arrived on the scene at approximately 5:16 a.m., they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man, identified as 35-year-old Ronald Clark of Capitol Heights, Maryland, died at the scene.
