In the early morning hours of February 23, 2024, the sound of gunshots shattered the pre-dawn quiet in the 6200 block of Dix Street NE in Washington, D.C. When Sixth District officers arrived on the scene at approximately 5:16 a.m., they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man, identified as 35-year-old Ronald Clark of Capitol Heights, Maryland, died at the scene.
As the investigation into Clark's death began, officers were simultaneously called to another location
nearby. In the 300 block of 63rd Street NE, they found a second man who had also been shot. This individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
For nearly a year, the case remained under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch. Then, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, a significant development occurred. Pursuant to a U.S. District Court booking order, 41-year-old Victor Terrill of Seat Pleasant, Maryland, was arrested. Terrill has been charged with First Degree Murder while Armed and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon in connection with the shooting that left one man dead and another injured.
