In the early hours of Sunday, March 17, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the pre-dawn stillness in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C., leaving a scene of chaos and tragedy. When the violence subsided, two men lay dead, and five others were wounded. One of the deceased was 32-year-old Jay Lucks, a male resident of Baltimore, Maryland.
