On March 22, 2024, a shooting incident occurred in the Southeast area of Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 29-year-old Dimitrious Tre'Von Brown. The incident was reported in the 2900 block of Gainesville Street, Southeast, where police responded to calls about a shooting at approximately 3:08 p.m.
