In the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 3, 2024, a distressing discovery was made in Southeast Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department officers from the Sixth District responded to a call about a person down in the 3600 block of Fort Dupont Drive, Southeast, at approximately 7:19 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a young male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 14-year-old Irving Laboard, a resident of Northeast, D.C.
