On a late Friday evening in Washington, D.C., the life of Jontae Donald Gilliam was tragically cut short. The 39-year-old male was in the 600 block of Morton Street, Northwest, on June 28, 2024, when gunfire erupted at approximately 11:06 p.m. Responding to the scene, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fourth District discovered Gilliam unconscious and not breathing, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
