On a summer afternoon in Washington, D.C., the life of a young Black woman, Ambria Farmer, was tragically cut short. On July 13, 2024, the 21-year-old from District Heights, Maryland, was discovered in Fort Dupont Park in Southeast D.C., having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. At approximately 2:30 p.m., police responded to a call about an unconscious person in the park.
