On a warm Friday evening in Washington, D.C., the life of 25-year-old Martinez Francisco Robinson was cut short by gunfire. The fatal encounter unfolded at approximately 6:57 p.m. on August 23, 2024, in the 1300 block of Girard Street, Northwest. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and discovered Robinson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital, but despite all efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.
