In the early morning hours of September 2, 2016, the life of 28-year-old Lamar Purnell Parrish, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and discovered Parrish's body in the 2500 block of 14th Street NE. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
