When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene around 2:18 a.m., they discovered a chaotic and tragic scene. Twenty-seven-year-old Dee Monte Pernell Chase was found in front of a residence, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite immediate medical attention, the young man was pronounced dead at the location.
