Eric Alexander, a resident of Hyattsville, Maryland, was found unconscious and unresponsive, suffering
from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency services from D.C. Fire and EMS were present and attempted lifesaving measures, but their efforts were in vain. Alexander was pronounced deceased at the scene, his death marking another homicide in the city. The incident was one of several fatal shootings that occurred in the District over a short period.
