On December 27, 2023, Lekendre Hall, a 37-year-old man from Leesburg, Florida, was found lying on the ground suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The incident occurred at 1906 West Main Street, where Leesburg Police Department (LPD) responded to a call around 8:45 p.m. Hall was transported to UF Health Leesburg, where he was pronounced deceased.
