Michael Pettis, a 34-year-old man from Leesburg, FL, was tragically shot and killed on the night of August 4, 2021. The Leesburg Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 1000 block of West Line Street at approximately 11:54 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Michael Pettis lying in a nearby yard, where he was pronounced dead by paramedics.
