On Sunday, January 21, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at a residence on Freeport Avenue North in St. Petersburg, Florida. Jacob Ray Wallace, a 28-year-old man, shot and killed his live-in girlfriend, Tiffany Jade Dickinson, 27, following an argument.
The shooting took place shortly before 11 p.m. at their home, where Dickinson died at the scene. Wallace remained at the house and was taken into custody by the St. Petersburg Police Department without incident when officers arrived.
At the time of the shooting, other individuals were present in the home, including Wallace's 67-year-old mother and two children. The children, a 10-year-old boy and a 23-month-old girl, were also home; the toddler is the biological child of Wallace and Dickinson. Fortunately, no one else was injured during the incident.
Wallace has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Dickinson's death. The case is currently part of an ongoing investigation by the St. Petersburg Police Department.
