Rodney Gilmer, a 50-year-old veteran paramedic from Anderson, South Carolina, tragically died on February 18, 2019, as a result of a domestic dispute. Gilmer was shot in the abdomen at his home on Whirlaway Circle and succumbed to his injuries less than an hour after being transported to AnMed Health Medical Center, where he worked. The incident occurred around 7 p.m., and despite the efforts of medical personnel, Gilmer could not be saved.
