In the early hours of Tuesday, May 30, 2023, the life of 24-year-old Drevon Robinson, a Black / African American male from Waterbury, Connecticut, was tragically cut short. Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of West Main Street at approximately 12:40 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Robinson lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound.
Emergency services transported Robinson to Waterbury Hospital for medical treatment.
Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The incident was quickly ruled a homicide, prompting an investigation by detectives from the Waterbury Police Department's Major Crimes Division.
In the days following the shooting, police appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the apprehension of those responsible for Robinson's death.
