In the early morning hours of June 30, 2023, the life of 35-year-old Eliut Canales, a Hispanic male from Waterbury, Connecticut, was cut short by violence. Around 2 a.m., the sound of gunshots pierced the quiet near North Main and East Farms streets. Responding to the reports, police officers arrived at a chaotic scene. A vehicle had crashed into the Ingpirca Bar and Restaurant located at 807 N. Main St.
