In the early morning hours of July 23, 2016, the life of 25-year-old Cameron Chapman, a Black male from Waterbury, Connecticut, was tragically cut short. His body was discovered inside a car just before 6 a.m. at the intersection of Dikeman and Willard Streets. Responding to a report of an unconscious man covered in blood, police arrived to find that Chapman had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. His death was officially ruled a homicide.
